German IPA Flashcards

The German IPA Flashcards teach you the International Phonetic Alphabet as applied to German — a precise written system that gives every German sound its own consistent symbol. German has sounds that don’t exist in English (the ch variants, the front rounded vowels, the uvular r), and IPA is the tool to learn and self-correct them systematically.
With IPA, you stop approximating German sounds through English reference points. Each sound is learned on its own terms, from its own IPA symbol, with its own correct articulation.

Language: German · Difficulty: Beginner–Intermediate · Time to Complete: 2–4 weeks

IPA for German Independence
German pronunciation is actually more systematic than French or English — but only if you know the underlying rules. IPA makes those rules explicit and learnable as a system. Once you’ve internalised the IPA symbols for German, you can decode the pronunciation of any new word from its transcription alone.
This deck is included in the German Pronunciation Bundle, the complete three-deck system for German pronunciation mastery.
